Influential German statesman (1815–1898), known as the ‘Iron Chancellor,’ who served as the first Chancellor of the German Empire from 1871–1890. Scarce original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite photo of the seated Bismark, signed along the bottom in black ink. In fine condition, with some scattered light surface marks to image and mounting remnants to reverse.
